Staging F.A.Q.'s

Why do I need a professional company to stage my home?

You have worked hard to clean your home and prepare it to sell. In a slow housing market, many of the sellers in your market area have done the same thing. You can have the advantage over them by hiring The Williams Home Team Stagers to come into your home and “kick it up a notch”. We have the knowledge, experience, and an “artful eye” for creating an environment that buyers can aspire to. We will emphasize and highlight the beautiful focal points of your home that will give the buyer a great “first impression”. Your home will sell faster and for potentially top dollar. Don’t waste buyer traffic by not having your home professionally staged.

Home staging sounds like another added moving expense….I can’t afford it.”

Having your home staged by a professional is not an expense but an investment. Homes that have been professionally staged sell 50% faster and for 6-10% more money. In a 2003 HomeGain Survey of over 2000 Realtors it was discovered that sellers who spent up to $1000 staging their home recovered it almost 200% of the cost in the sale of their home. The Williams Home Team offers a variety of staging services that start as low as $175.00. Don’t settle for less and lower your asking price… have your home professionally staged today!

Why can’t I just stage my own home?

Most home owners are not able to successfully stage their own home. Why? Look at it this way, if an artist handed you a paint brush with instructions on how to paint a portrait “would you be able to paint that portrait?” Not to mention most home sellers don't "stage" homes everyday for a living.  The Williams Home Team consultants are professionally certified, and this is where you will gain the greatest return on your investment. If you can’t view something objectively then you are unable to package and market it effectively.

“Can’t homebuyers use their imaginations and look past the décor, and possibly make me an offer?”

NO!  Only 10% of homebuyers can actually visualize the potential of a home.  This is why it is so important to create spaces that the buyer can emotionally connect with and envision your home as their own. The Refined Design is able to depersonalize your home without making it look cold and uninviting.  Vacant homes and empty rooms need to be staged as well.  Most buyers cannot visualize the size and scale of an empty room; furniture helps to give them a frame of reference.   Renting furniture can be an affordable way to return a vacant home to a home that fills the space and enables the buyer to view the home as their own.
